If you need a simple Damask rose design, feel free to download it on this page. The design was created based on an illustration discovered in an old magazine.

In the old Journal (The Young Ladies' Journal, Published 1885) where we have found it, it is stated below the illustration:  Diagram of coloured design for damask rose. Below the illustration, the caption reads that this design refers to the Poonah drawing technique. Poonah painting (velvet painting, the theorem technique of painting), a style of painting popular in England in the 19th century, was inspired by oriental painting techniques.

In the picture you can see that the design greatly resembles embroidery designs. If you do embroidery, perhaps this is the right design for you.
