Celtic designs from illuminated manuscript

On this page you can download 3 Celtic zoomorphic designs found in the images of scanned pages of illuminated manuscripts. The first two designs come from the manuscript ’Book of Kells’,  featuring the main bird motif; the third design comes from the manuscript ’Book of Durrow’, depicting a lion. The designs are black and white, but if you want, you can paint them as desired. It is useful to look for high-resolution images of the mentioned books on the Internet, which have served us to draw these designs in 2D CAD software because:
- you can see what colors they were originally painted,
- you can find a large number of Celtic designs like these and
- you can find a variety of other types of Celtic designs like Celtic knot designs, Celtic key designs etc.
