Japanese water stencil pattern

Japanese water stencil patternOn this page you can download the stencil pattern called "Japanese Water Stencil Pattern". This stencil has been found in an old book that contains examples of designs created in katagami technique. Katagami is a Japanese technique for making stencils from paper used in the fabric dyeing process. The stencil is rectangular in shape and consists of a large number of closed curves drawn so as to create the illusion of third dimension - the flowing and waving of water. Although the stencil is very old, its appearance is still modern and very usable today.
