Alphonse Mucha is one of the most famous Czech artists and designers. He made ​​a lot of pictures, posters, advertisements, illustrations, jewelry designs and theater set designs. His works had become a trademark of the Art Nouveau style. As an art movement, Art Nouveau strived for blending art with industry, with the aim of making art accessible to everyone, denying its elitist nature. One of Mucha's most famous works  called The Slav Epic, on which he worked for 18 years, consists of 20 large canvases depicting the Slavic history.

Mucha gained wide popularity with his works depicting young women with thick, lush hair, surrounded by stylized flowers and other ornamental decorations. The decorative frame that you can download here comes from his famous work Byzantine Head created in1897.
