Ornamental lion vectors

Ornamental lion vectors

On this page you can download two Ornamental lion vectors. These ornamental lion vectors come from the book "American line type book, borders, ornaments, price list printing material and machinery", published in 1906 (Author: Daystrom, inc).

Both vector illustrations depict lions drawn in the same style - instead of tails,  they have scrolls of acanthus leaves. The difference is in the big cat poses: in the first vector image the lion is growling, ready to attack and with its head lowered, while in the other one the lion is roaring, with its proud head raised.

Illustrations like these were very popular in the printing industry in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and they were mainly used as decoration on the pages of books and magazines.
