Here you can download two very attractive scroll line borders designed to decorate horizontal rectangular surfaces.

Scroll line borders used to be very popular at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, especially during the Art Nouveau movement. These two frame borders are quite complex, but if you need some simple ones - search the ‘Ornamental Border Designs’ category where you can find a large number of simpler scroll line borders.

Both of these frame borders are very interesting because they are combined with foliage design elements that are characteristic of classic ornaments. This has made the borders look very attractive. Both frame borders come from an the book titled “How to paint flowers, scrolls and fancy borders for up-to-date show cards, posters, display signs and decorating” (Author Thompson William Alexander), published in 1915.

Scroll line borders are available in the following file formats: 2D CAD (dwg) and vector (eps and svg)

From the very book title you can learn about the use of these scroll line borders, which is to design various types of show cards, advertising posters, display signs, or to decorate rectangular surfaces. The pleasure we had while drawing these beautiful borders will be complete if you send us the pictures on how you have used them; only that way we will know that these frame borders haven’t been drawn in vain!
