Here is a vectorized version of an ornament from the old book Intarsia and marquetry (by Jackson, F. Hamilton, Published 1903).

Beneath the illustration, it is noted that this is a panel from lower row of stalls (Cathedral Savona). Here we have a symmetrical ornament, and because it consists of various motifs from nature it is simply called the natural ornament. Its central part consists of leaves with scroll-like stems developing into flowers, acorns and different leaf shapes.

As the cathedral was built in the Baroque style in the period 1589 - 1605, we assume that this ornament belongs to the same style or to the Renaissance style.
