Ancient Greek palmette ornament

Ancient Greek palmette ornamentThis is the 3D model of an Ancient Greek ornament which was placed on the ceiling of the temple of  Parthenon. This 3D model is actually a bas relief made by using a 2D pattern which can be downloaded at  the following link: Ceiling ornaments from the Parthenon
The ornament consists of a symmetric segment that is distributed around the center of the ornament, i.e. the segment has a reflection symmetry (line symmetry, mirror symmetry) and the ornament has a four-fold rotational symmetry (90 degrees).
The ornament is very simple in shape and represents a fine example of the use of the palmette motif in Ancient Greek art.
