- to draw 2D contour of the design element in 3D software;

- by moving control points (Control point editing), it is necessary to deform the surface (or 3D mesh object) as close as possible to the shape of the 2D contour, and also add the third dimension through the same process.


Basically, this process is simple and designs like this leaf can quickly turn into very nice bas-reliefs. By arranging independently or together with a variety of other design elements, you can obtain complex 3D designs, bas-relief borders or the like.
