This 3D model has been drawn on the basis of a picture found in an old book dealing with the theme of woodcarving. The inscription below the picture reads: ‘Circular Mirror Frame’, but this is essentially a universal circular frame that can also be used for pictures, some openings or the like, i.e., not only for mirrors. If you reduce it adequately, it can be turned into a nice furniture decoration.

The 3D model has a rotating symmetry, and it is enough to draw a 36-degree segment by which the entire frame can be formed with the commands Mirror and Rotate (with Copy). You can scale the frame thickness in any 3D CAD software to the desired one. By scaling along the x- or y-axis an oval frame can be obtained.
