This is a useful collection of heraldic animal design elements drawn in a 2D CAD software and transformed into vector format.

In heraldry, we can often see a variety of animals in different elements of the coat of arms (the focal ones being the supporters, the field, and the escutcheon or shield). The animals can be real (beasts, birds, sea creatures and others...) or imaginary (dragons, unicorns...). This collection is small and contains only 10 animal heraldic design elements that we have drawn using illustrations from several old heraldry books.

In the picture you can see what the heraldic design elements look like and if you have an idea how to use them, you can download them in 2D CAD (dwg) or vector (svg and eps) file formats.

If you still have not found the design element you are looking for, instead of searching for its digitized version on the Internet, get it a lot faster by drawing it yourself. Just type your keyword combination (animals, heraldry, coat of arms...) into the browser, find an image of an old coat of arms that contains the desired animal design, import the image into 2D CAD or vector program and trace its outlines. This is most likely a faster solution, because you will definitely be more efficient by drawing the desired design element in the way you want, plus the old illustration will probably contain an animal design that suits you better, due to the fact that on the Internet there is a far better choice of raster Illustrations than vector illustrations containing coats of arms.
