This vectorized circular ornament here is called the center table marquetry pattern. The ornament is classic in appearance and is definitely more than 150 years old.

It was found in the old book Furniture with candelabra and interior decoration (author: Richard Bridgens, published: 1838) where it was stated that the ornament was intended for decorating tabletops with marquetry technique, so its name is based on that information. The pattern is formed of a circular border that has a 60-degree rotational symmetry. There is a symmetrical and very interesting ornament inside the border. Both ornaments are made up of different floral decorative elements, such as scrolls, acanthus leaves, flowers, buds…

The pattern is suitable not only for marquetry decorating technique, but it may also be used if you are into some other handicraft. You can use either the complete pattern or each ornament individually. This way you can obtain a circular floral border that has a large blank surface inside and a central floral ornament suitable for decorating a circular or square surface.
