In the pictures above you can see what the two corner designs we have presented on this page look like.

Both of them were found in an old magazine where the following text was written below their pictures: Corner and frieze designs from Decorators Magazine, London. As you can see from the title of this page, both designs are corner designs, and the term ‘frieze’ below the image it was probably meant by the author that they could be used as corner designs to decorate a frieze.

The designs are quite different in style, the first is a classic corner ornament, and the second is a bit more modern looking and consists of floral forms. The designs have been drawn well, just paint them and then decorate the corners of a surface with them. If you arrange these corner designs in the corners of any rectangular surface and connect them to each other, you will obtain an attractive rectangular border. Neither of the designs is too complex, thus the border obtained based on them will have a universality allowing it to blend in with the text, illustrations, or some design placed inside.

Both corner designs can be used to individually decorate corners, all you have to do is delete the horizontal and vertical extensions that were drawn to facilitate border formation. As always, it all depends on your imagination and inspiration – it was up to us to find and draw these corner designs for you, and as far as their application is concerned, it is all up to you now!
