This is a collection of 6 stencil patterns that we called “Patterns for wall panel” as it was stated in the book in which they were found.

They originated in the early 20th century and at that time they certainly belonged to modern patterns. As stated in the book, these are stencil patterns that were  very much used to decorate walls. One of the main characteristics of the stencil pattern is that it can be easily made into a template which can be used to transfer the pattern multiple times onto the surface you are decorating. The template is either flat (pattern is cut on the template) or cylinder-shaped (pattern is transferred onto the cylinder in the form of bumps). This allowed painters to quickly transfer the pattern to the wall and start its coloring. At that time, the middle class began to grow slowly in Europe. A large number of people invested their money in the aesthetics of their houses, and since they couldn’t afford genuine art and uniqueness, they were satisfied with these types of decoration. Uniqueness has always been something that has incomparably more value, that is true, but sometimes compromise solutions like the one described are not bad at all!

These patterns are very simple and can be used in a rectangular area that needs to be decorated (wall panels, furniture panels...). All patterns are fully editable, so you can modify them to meet your design specifications. To modify these patterns you will need  vector editing (Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, CorelDraw...) or 2D CAD software (AutoCAD, Draftsight, QCAD, Solid edge  2D Drafting...).
