Repeating 3D patterns

Repeating 3D patterns are not so largely represented as the 2D ones. They can mostly be seen in mathematics, in architecture as decorations or in the forming of tessellations.

Tessellation is the process of covering a plane with geometric shapes without any overlaps or gaps. It is not necessarily limited to the 2D plane, but may also occur on curved surfaces or in 3D space. Tessellations in three or more dimensions are called honeycombs.

In this category you can find a collection of 3D repeating patterns. If you need repeating 2D patterns, you can find them here

3D CAD file types included: NURBS (stp, iges, 3dm...)  and/or polygonal mesh (obj, blend, stl...). Models given in these formats (NURBS and Polygonal mesh) are suitable for import and editing in majority of CAD/CAM programs so you can use them as you need.

Most of the repeating 3D patterns are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license. 3D models with different licenses are labeled with their licenses below their links.
