Parks, as large open spaces that serve for a recreation and enjoyment, are very important parts of each town, since they are oases where anyone can come and forget about everyday busy life tempo. Importance of park was known even in ancient Persia, where the large outdoor areas served as hunting grounds with a riding paths and shelters. The Greeks also had many parks, where the people exercised, watched outdoor theaters, concerts, etc.
Since then, almost nothing has changed, except that today almost each park is perfectly organized and aesthetically designed. There are boating areas; areas for many kinds of sports, concert areas, dog and even camping areas… and except for flowers and trees, the things that allow people to stay and relax are some kind of sitting sets and of course the bench.
Park bench is one of the most frequent pieces of outdoor furniture and it existed since ancient times, but back then cultures like Greeks and Persians made massive garden benches out of the different kinds of stones. Somewhere in the 18th century craftsmen began to make park benches out of wood and this kind of outdoor benches are familiar in the whole world today. Many people just adore sitting outside, under a park tree and reading, playing chess or taking their children to breathe a fresh air and almost every one of us had a rendezvous and left an inscription on one of the park benches.
