In the picture you can see 10 different ways to make handles from a variety of residues occurring after cutting tubes and beams.

You can make handles for heavy garage doors, but also small furniture handles. This is why we will not offer any drawings with dimensions in this project, but only drawings to show you what the handles look like.

Before starting to work, make a sketch of the handle design that you want to create or choose a design you like from our drawings. The first step in making the handle is to determine its desired dimensions. When, according to these dimensions, you find a suitable piece of stock (square, rectangular, H or I cross section), make the handle by cutting off excess material with an angle grinder. Next, chamfer all the sharp edges to avoid injury, sandpaper all the surfaces to be smooth and paint the handle as you like.

Handles from metal scrap - Drawing

This is a very useful project because, on the one hand, you will recycle a little waste from your workshop and, on the other, you will make very beautiful and cost-effective handles provided you have done your work well.
