On this page I will be posting video tutorials showing how to use FreeCAD workbench called Sketcher.

The Sketcher workbench is used to draw parametric 2D sketches that are commonly used for modeling in the Part design and Part workbenches. Parametric sketches can be used for other purposes as well: you can export them to other CAx software, use them as 2D contours for cutting on CNC machines (Laser cutter, Router, Milling machine...)...

With these tutorials, you will quickly learn how to draw 2D geometric elements, dimension and constrain them, modify them, manipulate them...

Drawing in this workbench is the same as in well-known commercial 3D CAD software: NX, Catia, T-Flex, Ascon Kompas, Solid Works, Solid Edge, ZW3D... If you learn to draw in the Sketcher workbench, you can easily learn drawing in any commercial 3D CAD software.

I have grouped the tutorials into the following categories
