On this page I will be posting video tutorials showing how to use FreeCAD workbench called Part Design.
This workbench is used for modeling solid bodies using a technique called Feature based modeling. Feature-based modeling is a CAD technique where a 3D model is built using predefined features and operations. The base feature can be an extrusion, a revolve, a cutout, a loft, a sweep, fillet, sheet metal flange...
Modeling in this workbench is the same as in well-known commercial 3D CAD software: NX, Catia, T-Flex, Ascon Kompas, Solid Works, Solid Edge, ZW3D... If you learn to model in the Part Design workbench, you can easily learn modeling in any commercial 3D CAD software.
