The swirl line designs that you can download here for free come from an old German book on decorative art and are more than 100 years old.

As you can see, there are 11 of them and they got their name because they consist of twisted thin lines. At the end of the lines of each design and on the sharp curves, there are extensions or thickenings that significantly contribute to the aesthetics and dynamics of the drawing; on some designs, at the ends you can see something very reminiscent of a bird's legs and head, which makes them particularly interesting.

By the way, all 11 designs had practical value because their role was to decorate the pages of the old book in which they were found.

All the designs in this collection are proof that simplicity in decorative art (industrial art) results in timeless works of art, and even though they are over 100 years old, these designs still have a use value today. If you are a beginner enthusiast, we recommend that you try to draw as many similar swirl line designs as possible. The process should be very interesting, especially if you think of different ways how to decorate the ends and curves of the swirl lines. First, manually sketch what you want the design to look like; next, carefully draw the swirl line in 2D CAD or vector software; and finally, all you have to do is complete the design by decorating its ends and curves.
