Here we are presenting a plan that will allow you to quickly create a simple and practical balcony laundry drying rack.

This laundry drying rack is most suitable for mounting on the balcony handrail or terrace railing. It is simply hung over the top rail and leaned on the pickets. On one occasion, when we were on holiday and had to dry our beach towels and swimwear on the hotel balcony, we were absolutely convinced of its practicality.

Dimensions

H = 212mm (8 3/8 in), L = 640mm (25 3/16in), W = 990mm (38 31/32 in).

The entire rack is made of 5mm thick steel wire. For the making of the parts there is no need for precision - it is enough to cut off straight wire to the required length and fold it according to the drawings. Laundry and Rail subassembly are formed by mutual welding of parts, so that the two subassemblies are connected with 4 loops which need to ensure free movement of wire passing through them. The best way is to make a rack by welding steel zinc-coated wire. If you want to paint the rack, be sure to use a consistent quality color that won’t leave any stains on your clothes after drying.

In the following picture you can see what the laundry drying rack looks like and how it is mounted to the railing. Its structure is very simple and easy to install; when folded, it occupies very little space.
