If you need 3D model inspired by medieval heraldry, this 3D model of griffin may satisfy all your requirements.

The griffin is a mythical creature with the body, tail and back legs of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. Since the lion is considered the king of the beasts and the eagle the king of birds, the griffin is considered the king of all creatures. There are various statues and drawings of mythical creatures that look like griffins dating from Ancient Greece, Egypt and Persia. The earliest depiction of griffins are the frescoes found in the Palace of Knossos that dates back to the 15th century BC. In Europe, the griffin is of great use in heraldry and as a decorative element it is most often used in architecture.

The 3D griffin model which can be downloaded here has been created by importing Heraldic Griffin 2D design to Rhino 3D CAD software where T splines plugin has been used to create the 3D model. This is not a model of a complete griffin body, but a bas-relief (low relief sculpture) whose shape has been taken from an old coat of arms.

If you are into heraldry, and also have a CNC engraving machine, then this 3D model of the griffin could be the right choice for you! You can make it a relief, or use it as a design element for your more complex relief project.
