In this free metalworking plan, we have presented how to make a coat rack from tube of square cross-section measuring 25mm x 15mm.

If you happen to be in need of a coat rack for your workshop, shed or utility room, do not simply buy one at the store, but rather make one on your own using various pieces that are left over after cutting tubes (they are easy to find in any workshop).

The coat rack can be made of steel or aluminum tubes with rectangular or square cross-section. If you study the drawing a little closer, you will easily adjust this coat rack (size, number of hooks and their shape) to your needs and the piece of tube that you want to use. Drill holes on the vertical surface - these will be used to mount the coat rack to a wall or a door.

Round all sharp edges slightly with file and finish to suit.
