Here you can download one 3D model of the Clifford torus, as well as three 3D models obtained by deleting certain surfaces on it.

There is no need to write any mathematical explanations of what the Clifford torus is, because we are convinced that the vast majority of you are not interested, and for those few who might be - there is plenty of information on the Internet, of course! The 3D model of the Clifford torus was created in K3DSurf software (now MathMod) and imported into Rhino 3D software. We played around with it a little by deleting some of the surfaces on it. The obtained result seemed interesting to us, so we eventually posted all four 3D models on this page, with the hope that someone might need them.

Clifford torus 3D surface
3D CAD software used for modeling

K3DSurf (MathMod software)

Available NURBS and BREP file formats

Surface 3D models: .igs (Standardized 3D graphic exchange file format) and .3dm (Rhinoceros software native file format)

Available polygonal mesh file formats

.obj and .blend

Mesh - Quads only; Mesh topology supports multiple subdivisions; 3D model without texture and materials

If you feel inspired, feel free to download the given 3D models and try to create a sculpture with them, a math-art 3D model perhaps, or the like.  As an example, we introduce to you the math-art 3D model that was created based on the 3D model of the Clifford torus. You can see and download it at: “Clifford Torus with Holes and Extrusions”.
