Twisted stools are usually made using carving technique, but there are other ways, too. One of them is based on cutting (either manually or using CNC laser cutter) the vertical or horizontal (depending on the design) cross-section of the boards of a certain thickness and their mutual gluing (stacking). In this way, a stepped piece of glued boards is obtained, which is shaped closely like a stool. By grinding the stepped surfaces obtained by gluing the boards and sanding, the stool is finished. A disadvantage of this method is that wood texture does not come to the fore.
