In Chinese culture, various objects and art works contain the decorative motif of the Fenghuang, “the emperor of all birds”, usually together with the Chinese dragon.
On this page you can download a decorative design whose main motif is the Fenghuang bird.
The Fenghuang is an immortal bird from Chinese mythology, one of the four celestial creatures that the Chinese believed created the world (the other three being the dragon, the unicorn and the tortoise). In Western culture the Fenghuang is often called the Chinese Phoenix or simply Phoenix, although there are few mythological similarities between the two birds. The Chinese frequently paired the female Fenghuang with the male dragon. This union is commonly seen as the yin-yang symbol.
As always, a 2D CAD (.dwg) format is available, as well as a vector (.eps and .svg) formats for those who are into graphic design.
