Press the center square firmly against the side of the round stock and inscribe short line. Then rotate the center square approximately one third of the circumference of the round stock and mark a second line, intersecting the first. For accuracy the tool should be rotated once more and a third line made. The center of the work is indicated by the intersection of the lines. The same tool can be used to mark diagonals on square stock.
