Celtic Repeating 3D Pattern

Celtic Repeating 3D PatternA simple Celtic repeating 3D pattern created in Rhinoceros 3D modeling software. This 3D model has been inspired by a picture from an old book. The writing under the picture said that it was a Celtic repeating pattern, but further investigation of a variety of sources proved that in the course of history the same repeating pattern had been used by other peoples as well.

Within the 3D file there is only a segment of the repeating pattern. By simply scaling and copying the 3D segment it is possible to create a pattern of any size.
