A simple 3D model of a Guilloche frieze pattern. The guilloche pattern (Guilloche ornament) can often be found under the name of the Greek guilloche pattern.

The term ‘guilloche’ originates from the 18th century and is of French origin. Guilloche pattern (Guilloche ornament) is an architectural decoration formed by two or more intertwining bands or strings, leaving circular openings which are often filled with round ornaments or design elements.

The guilloche has often appeared in various cultures (Assyrian, Greek, Roman ...) and artistic styles throughout history. It has been one of the most used patterns of all times, and we are convinced that this bas-relief of the Greek guilloche pattern will be beneficial to a large number of people. When you open the files, you will see that they contain only a small segment of the above bas-relief. By simply copying or making small modifications, from this 3D segment you can create a 3D frieze ornament of any length, and you can also make guilloche borders of various shapes.
