Gothic tracery window pattern

Gothic tracery window pattern

On this page you can download the gothic pattern that we named Gothic tracery window pattern. This pattern has been drawn in 2D CAD software. It is based on an image found in an old book and consists only of circle segments.

In architecture, tracery is the name for the stonework that supports the glass in a Gothic window. Gothic window tracery exhibits quite complex geometric shapes that are achieved by combining only circles and straight lines. This tracery pattern is a detail that normally does not occur as a single design element but as part of a more complex composition that fulfills Gothic arches. Drawing Gothic tracery is not difficult, though basic knowledge of geometric drawing is still required (drawing plane figures). This Gothic tracery window pattern has been properly drawn using geometric drawing procedures, which is not difficult to do in 2D CAD software.

Based on this Gothic tracery pattern we have also drawn a 3D model that you can download here: Geometric 3D designs
