On this page you can download the so-called inlay ornament. It derives its name from a book with the theme of wood inlay.
Inlay is a technique of decorating item surfaces with pieces made from different (to achieve color contrast) and usually costly materials. The technique is based on insetting the pieces into the surface, in order to obtain certain patterns or motifs. The pieces may be of various materials, depending on the very material of the surface being decorated, its quality, the desired color contrast etc.
The ornament is precisely drawn and you can download it in the 2D CAD (dwg) or vector (svg and eps) file formats.
Surely, this wonderful old round ornament can be used for other purposes (graphic design or craft techniques), as well. As you can see, it consists of a border made of flowers and leaves, with another ornament in its central part.
