It consists of two sets of parallel lines intersecting at a right angle. Each line at stated intervals are twisted into S-shaped double curves. In this way fields are established and painted like a chessboard to form the counterchange pattern.
The counterchange pattern that you can download here is similar to a chessboard. It's a geometric repeating pattern and we found it in an old book.
