Pavement diaper patterns from Pompeii and Rome

Pavement diaper patterns from Pompeii and RomeThe patterns that you can download here originate from Pompeii and Ancient Rome. The Ancient Romans used them for tiling the sidewalks. These pavement diaper patterns have an interesting 3D effect - if you make a proper contrast in color, the impression is achieved of walking on the corners of the cubes that are embedded in the sidewalk. Similar diaper patterns can be found in Chinese and Japanese cultures.
