Interlaced Saracenic Repeating Pattern

Interlaced Saracenic Repeating PatternLeonardo da Vinci spent a lot of  time studying interlaced patterns, but unfortunately only a few of his works have survived until today. The pattern which you can download here is based on a rough sketch from one of Leonardo's notebooks. It is very similar to Saracen interlaced patterns (a similar pattern can be found on a14th-century dome panel in Cairo). The Saracens used to be the real masters of making interlaced patterns at that time.

Since this is a repeating pattern, within the files  you can find the complete pattern, as well as its segments with which you can create a pattern of any size and shape. Interlaced Saracenic Repeating Pattern is accurately drawn using a 2D CAD software and all geometric elements of pattern are lines and arcs.
