If you love Arabic art, you will probably be very pleased with this large collection of 31 frieze ornaments, which we called “Ancient Arab Plaster Work”.

All ornaments come from various old books whose theme was art and architecture. The captions below the featured images of these ornaments read that they were plaster architectural ornaments from various mosques, madrasas and the like, i.e. typical Arabic decorations. As you can see in the picture, these are segments of frieze ornaments, and an ornament of a desired length can be easily obtained by copying. The term ‘plasterwork’ is considered to be a plaster decoration that is most often found on the ceiling and on both interior and exterior walls.

This type of decoration has been known for hundreds of years and there are various types of plasterwork such as. Nowadays, when architecture is dominated by steel, glass and various artificial materials, plasterwork is seldom used for decorating. It has been suppressed due to the production process itself, which is expensive and slow, it does not match today's modern architectural styles, nor does it fit into modern materials, and there are hardly any artists who know how to do it. Nowadays, it is used only when churches, mosques or madrasas are built, when some magnificent buildings inspired by old times are erected, or when old buildings are restored. All ornaments in the collection are old Arabic ornaments and their beauty is timeless. You can use them to make plasterwork, but also 3D bass-reliefs for 3D building models, wooden door and window moldings using a CNC machine, wooden decoration for fine furniture, etc.
