If you want to make a flower pot stand like the one in the picture, here you are given a free woodworking plan with all the necessary dimensions.
The flower pot stand (to be more precise) is in fact an ordinary floor stand (pedestal) with a stable base and a widened surface on which you can put a pot. Because it looks as though it were twisted for a quarter of a circle, at first glance the stand seems complicated to make. If you, however, have a look at its parts, you will realize that its construction is rather simple. The most complex part (Part 3 - Body slat) can be easily crafted using a variety of tools and machines (copy saw, jig saw, scroll saw…) , and all the other parts are with simple geometries. They can be joined together by gluing, using dowels, screws, biscuits, etc.

The dimensions of the entire flower pot stand can be easily adjusted to your needs (i.e. the size of the flower pot that you want to keep on it). All you need is to study the drawings a little. We recommend that you make the parts from solid wood and protect the stand with some high-quality coating, since the wood will probably come into contact with water. You need to prevent the wood from either getting deformed or water stained on the surface. The twisted construction looks very interesting, and you might use this feature for some other furniture designs as well, e.g. in table legs, shelf supports and the like.
The least we hope for is that you are delighted with this flower pot stand, and that you have decided to make one for your wife or daughter. Our goal is to show you how a simple idea can greatly contribute to the appearance of a piece of furniture.
