On this page you can download a vector design of an eagle which was found in an old book.

The eagle design we are offering here for download is based on the motif of a repeating pattern found in an old book by Verneuil & Grasset titled "L'Animal dans la Decoration" and published in 1897. We have named it ‘Eagle Vector Design’, but since the bird's design is highly stylized in the picture, we could have equally called it ‘Hawk Vector Design’ because the bird resembles both an eagle and a hawk.

This Eagle vector is available in 2D CAD (.dwg) and vector (.eps and .svg) file formats

The pattern shows a flying eagle (bottom view) when its wings are maximally pointing forwards, i.e., when it is about to make a downward stroke with its wings. The design is mostly symmetrical (the wings, tail and body of the eagle), only the eagle's head disturbs its total symmetry. The design itself has been created in Inkscape free vector software by importing the repeating pattern from the old book mentioned above, drawing one half of the pattern (wing, half of the body and tail) without the head, and forming the complete eagle design by mirror copying and additional drawing of the eagle's head. We have painted the design the same way as it was painted originally. Please check out this interesting eagle design, and if you have an idea on how to use it, feel free to download it by clicking on one of the links below.
