On this page you can download the hand traced Le Chat Noir (The Black Cat) poster of the famous French Art Nouveau artist Théophile Steinlen.

It was an advertising poster for the famous 19th century cabaret Le Chat Noir depicting a black cat, the symbol after which the cabaret had been initially named. Le Chat Noir Cabaret was located in Montmartre, a bohemian district in Paris. It is considered the first modern cabaret, and it was immensely popular in its time (1881 – 1897). Nowadays the poster design, or simply the black cat design, adds a decorative touch to various products; in some way, it has become the symbol of Paris and its nightlife.

The entire poster has been patiently hand traced and painted according to the image of its original. You can print it in sizes larger than the A4 format and decorate your house wall by breathing some late 19th century Parisian spirit into your interior.

If you download the 2D CAD (dwg) file format, all you will find is the poster outlines. The colored poster exists within the vector (svg and eps) files only.
